Mossman State School is a very well-resourced school with spacious, fully air-conditioned classrooms equipped with interactive whiteboards.
We recently added a new purpose built resource centre, equipped with a huge library, dedicated reading room, media room, teacher preparation area and indoor assembly area. We have a dedicated special education classroom resourced with specialist teachers and individual mobile devices for students working in the Special education program. In addition, we have a rewards room for lunch time activities with a game console, games, puzzles and art and craft activities.
Outdoor facilities include our new centre garden adventure playground as well as three other adventure playgrounds to cater for all age levels and abilities. Other sporting facilities include tennis courts, cricket nets and new basketball courts as well as grassed and well-drained ovals.
Our school also has a dedicated community playgroup which operates weekly for our littlest members and their families.
Mossman State School boasts a wide range of technology facilities to improve student learning, including a computer lab, laptops and mobile devices for teachers for use in all classrooms. In addition, every prep to year 3 student is issued with a mini laptop XO. Each classroom is also equipped with interactive whiteboards to enhance student learning and delivery of engaging and interactive lessons.
Our tuckshop ‘Munchbox Mayi’, operating three days per week, offers a variety of healthy lunch items and is a popular choice for students and staff.
