Attendance Term 3, Week 2

Congratulations to 2A who won Week 2’s attendance award and congratulations to all of our Year one and two classes for their continued excellence in attendance this year. Our overall attendance rate is still below 90% and consequently ‘in the orange’.  Every school year is compulsory, including Prep and each year plays a vitally important one as it lays down the foundations of every student’s future learning at school. Every day students are being exposed to a wide range of learning experiences in literacy and numeracy that will help ensure their success in future years. Students also experience other learning areas including Science, History, Geography, HPE, The Arts and Digital Technology as well as the important social interactions and friendship groups that develop each day. Poor attendance leads to less opportunities to experience success in the primary years of schooling which could lead to a cycle of lack of success and confidence in further education. We believe that all of our students can achieve success at our school with our dedicated teaching staff but this can only happen if our students are at school learning every day. Please help us get our school attendance back over 90% and back into the green by sending your children to school every day. Our July attendance rates are:
