Our monthly pennant awards were presented at assembly today. Congratulations to 1/2, who were awarded the Highest Class Attendance Pennant for 2017. The Senior Class Conduct Pennant was awarded to 5A for their excellent behaviour this month and their outstanding efforts in preparing for their leadership speeches. The Junior Class Conduct Pennant went to Year 2/3 for their excellent behaviour this year. Junior and Senior Highest Quality Bookwork Pennants for November went to 1A for their excellent handwriting when writing their letters to Santa, and to 4A for their outstanding bookwork all year. Well done to all of our students. We are very proud of you all.
2017 Attendance
While we still have 100 students, almost half of our school, in our Club 95, we still have a number of students below the State Average attendance rate of 92%. Daily attendance is extremely important to ensure the success of our children at school and poor attendance leads to cycles of poor achievement, low self-esteem and lack of success. If our students come to school every day, they can all learn and be successful. Please continue to encourage your child’s regular attendance at school to help ensure their educational success in the future. We currently have 5 classes above 90% - a huge effort – well done! Our 2017 attendance rates are:
1.       Year 1/2               93.71%
2.       Year 3/4               91.71%
3.       Year 1A                 91.41%
4.       Year 6A                 91.37%
5.       Year 4A                 90.87%
6.       Year 2/3A            89.82%
7.       Year 5A                 88.3%
8.       Year 2/3               88.1%
9.       SEP                         84.55%
10.   Prep                      83.83%
Next year is a new year. Let’s get back in the green in 2018!
